I have been watching this bird for the last month. Now he has disappeared. This pic was taken two days before the youth season. So Maybe some youth got him. If so that is great for them.

A week ago I was checking my trail cam and walked up on him. He was laying down along a rock wall overlooking a draw. I walked right up behind him, only 15yrds away. Took me a minute  to figure what was going on.

Stopped by the Guildford town office  and picked up my license today $60 for general, archery, and turkey.

Tomorrow is Opening day for the Vermont season. I have everything ready to go. Have a new Mossberg 930. With a 1.5-5 pro-diamond shotgun scope and topped off with a primos tight wad choke.











For a call I will be using a white oak pot with a copper surface. I made this call about three weeks ago.










 I have been pattering different shells. Found that Federal Premium #4 nickel-plated shot works the best.




















Looks like rain and 50 tomorrow :-(
